At Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center, Empowerment Over Exploitation offers two tracks: Intervention for confirmed sex trafficking survivors and Prevention for girls at high risk. Specialized groups use trauma- and survivor-informed curricula to explore manipulation, shame, identity, and the “fairytale” lies of exploitation. Teens build resiliency through survivor-led narrative work, evidence-based therapies, and a Comprehensive Empowerment Plan that continues in individual sessions.
